Jazz on Wick returns to East London on 5 September for a celebration spread across multiple venues and stages in Hackney Wick.
From the minds behind Colour Factory, Orii Community and Voices radio, Jazz on Wick is a day-to-night celebration of jazz in all its improvised, soulful and boundary-pushing energy.
Movimientos DJs will join the line-up, opening one of the stages with their dance-fuelled signature parties.
Grime icon D Double E joins forces with Zenel for a jazz-meets-grime crossover set that really sums up what the festival is all about. Drummer Jas Kayser delivers a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Tony Allen, while neo-R&B maverick Shaé Universe makes her Jazz on Wick debut.
Expect some incredible collective takeovers too, from The Silhouettes Project – one of the most vital grassroots crews in UK music – to BBE marking 30 years with their full crew and very special guest Esa Williams, plus an Apron Records DJ takeover headed up by label boss Steven Julien.
