The Gama brothers, born and raised in Naucalpan on the outskirts of Mexico City, grew up playing marimba with their father at local parties before revelling in punk, eventually fusing the two worlds in a way that’s reshaped global stages.

Tradition, family loss, and reinvention shaped their sound into something deeply personal and universally irresistible. With two acclaimed albums under their belt – Batuco and Chimborazo – and a history of electrifying performances on some of the world’s biggest stages, the band now sets its sights on UK audiences.

This December, Son Rompe Pera will tour Bristol (The Jam Jar), London (Oslo), and Liverpool, promising nights of unstoppable, sweat-soaked cumbia like nowhere else.
