Another exceptional live Movimientos line-up at Brixton's no.1 venue: The Fontanas perform a hot catalogue of tracks ranging from back-foot Brazilian grooves to funk-fuelled anthems that blow the doors off. Eva Abraham and band come to the stage for a hearty, skillfull mix of Country, Folk, Balkan and Cumbia... We also welcome cinematic baroque group L'Orchestre Du Mont Pleasant, with their instrumental sounds moving between Congolesesoukous, Ethiopian jazz and cumbia. And of course our Movimientos DJs will be playing their trademark killer combo of old school Latin tunes and the newest Cumbia, Dancehall and experimental mash-ups.

With influences scattered across the globe, the music finds its roots in the foothills of Brazil and Jamaica, but defines its sound from its urban home in West London. "Bill Withers, Seu Jorge, Mylo, John Martyn, Herbie Hancock, Michael Jackson, The Rapture, LCD SS, Luke Vibert, Gorillaz, Horace Andy, Jackie Mittoo, Bob Dylan, TheSkatalites, Eric Burdon & the animals: this is getting too random. Lets be honest... Anything with soul."
