Another exceptional live Movimientos line-up at Brixton's no.1 venue: The Fontanas perform a hot catalogue of tracks ranging from back-foot Brazilian grooves to funk-fuelled anthems that blow the doors off. Eva Abraham and band come to the stage for a hearty, skillfull mix of Country, Folk, Balkan and Cumbia... We also welcome cinematic baroque group L'Orchestre Du Mont Pleasant, with their instrumental sounds moving between Congolesesoukous, Ethiopian jazz and cumbia. And of course our Movimientos DJs will be playing their trademark killer combo of old school Latin tunes and the newest Cumbia, Dancehall and experimental mash-ups.

Orchestre Du Mont-Plaisant are a baroque group born in London, bringing together global rhythms and dramatic cinematic moments. Skillfully instrumental, they play blues and dance, with influences including Ethiopian jazz, Congolesesoukous and cumbia. The band has already toured and performed in France, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro. Their LP is now out on Catapulte Records. www.catapulterecords.com
Olmeca is an MC / Producer / activist hailing from Los Angeles, California. A veteran of the L.A. hip-hop scene, Olmeca is an artist in the vein of Fela Kuti, Mercedes Sosa, Nina Simone, and his music takes its place amongst thought-provoking art that denounces the perceived mainstream culture.
