Movimientos Presents Nano Stern + Violentango + Chile 40 Network @ Rich Mix
Movimientos proudly welcomes Nano Stern (Chile) to the UK stage, supported by Violentango (Argentina).
WITH Alborada Films and Chile 40 Network presenting a flash forum about the legacy of Salvador Allende plus Navarrete's forthcoming documentary about Chile's student movement.*
After four award-winning and critically acclaimed solo albums, Nano Stern has had a meteoric rise to fame. He's part of the New Wave of Chilean music, with a fanbase that spans Latin America, Europe, Australia and beyond. Stern brings an Indie-Folk-Rock inspired sound that's rooted in traditional Chilean music and influenced by legends such as Violeta Parra and Inti-Illimani, as well as a host of current global music influences which combine effortlessly with his early classical training. He writes, sings and speaks about social justice issues and is active in Chilean Human Rights campaigning.
Violentango, direct from Buenos Aires, deliver a dazzling display of authentic porteño tango rhythms with a rock inspired twist. This compelling union of guitar, bandoneon, electric bass and percussion heralds a revolutionary wave of tango that's creating a new sensation in South America.
