Maguare were founded in 2009 as a Latin big band and they sport a hefty shining rhythm and horn section, with a repertoire of cumbia and Afro-Colombian specialities, fronted by Jazz singer Paola Marquez exploring her Colombian roots in the retro dance rhythms of Cumbia. . "Maguaré is undoubtedly one of the renovators of the genre [cumbia] in Europe. The 11-piece big band starts off where Lucho Bermudez stopped in the 60's and takes it a little further with jazzsinger Paola Marquez and a series of fresh compositions with elements from jazz, brass and even hiphop."
