WARA

Following the release of their debut album ‘Leave to Remain’ and their La Linea supported UK tour, Wara are back with a big Cuban bang to play their first live show of 2014! It's been a busy year for our favourite young musical revolutionaries, what with the album receiving a glowing 4 star review in The Guardian, a sold out album launch at the Jazz Café, and shooting their first music video between the rooftops of Shoreditch and the streets of Havana! Wara’s high energy fusion of traditional Latin and Cuban styles with the sounds of modern London that has been turning heads and ears for a while - catch the vibes before they head off to conquer all manner of festival crowds this summer!

BALDO VERDÚ Y SU TONTO MALEMBE

Baldo Verdú y su Tonto Malembe is a Latin-Fusion Quartet recently formed in London, UK; by Keenan Bailey (bass), Josepph Costi (piano/keyboards), Lya Drummer (drums) and Baldo Verdú (vocals & guitars).
The band, leaded by its guitarist and singer Baldo Verdú, explores the sounds of Rock music in combination with Latin American genres such as Cumbia, Guaracha, Tambor and Latin Funk; as the result of a life-long experience among these music expressions, thanks to the participation in major Latin bands as La Parranda de Lilliam, Conjunto Papa Upa and Fumaça Preta; in parallel with a continuous experience in the Rock scene with bands as Fibonacci and the more recent The BaBy Factory.
Baldo Verdú y su Tonto Malembe sounds of afro venezuelan and afro-caribbean rhythms. Baldo Verdú's guitar adds to the ensemble the funky vibe. The original songs are mainly sung in spanish, a few in english. All of them absorbing the audience into a world of energy, afro - latin folklore and exuberance.
