Acid Coco

Acid Coco are a Colombian act centred around the siblings, Paulo and Andrea Olarte Toro through whose veins flows the Pacific, the Caribbean, the Andes, the jungle and more.

Their two albums, Mucho Gusto (2020) and Camino Al Mar (2021), showcase their musical project born of irresistible costero (coastal) rhythms, yet raised in the club. Importantly, they never stray from one fundamental principle: this is music that celebrates life, with all its ups and downs.

With stories that could have come from the salsatecas of Cali, the picós of Cartagena or any club in the world, but through Paulo’s audacious production there is no doubt where we are. Dembow, cumbia, reggaeton, throbbing Caribbean folk, all collides with other tropical rhythms and electronic sounds.

Their music has been supported by major channels such as BBC sounds, Bandcamp Daily, Radio Nacional de Colombia amongst many others
