Forajidos, literally "outlaws", reflects perfectly the musical style of this group born in Caracas, Venezuela at the end of the last decade and now based in Paris.
Their music is influenced by the traditional rhythms of the Caribbean and especially Afro-Venezuelan music, but also by more funky sounds, combining Afrobeat, Jazz and even sounds closed to No-Wave noise. The fusion of these elements gives an explosive mix full of freedom, creativity and contrasts!
Either to fire the dancefloor or to bewitch the ears, this project is probably one of the most interesting and audacious groups in the world of the recent Latin American music.
Part of the 'New Sounds of Venezuela' Tour supported by Movimientos.
Also part of Friday Tonic with Master Card / David Byrne's Meltdown.
“These are musicians who defy rhythmic and others musical patterns. Bassist Raul Monsalve and his group is one of those experiences that never disappoint and leaves you thirsty for much more” – Mercedes Sanz, Noesfm Radio
