Mitú (aka Julián Salazar, founding guitarist of Bomba Estéreo) is back in the UK for another set of trailblazing Colombian electronic sounds after a sold-out London run.
Think: psychedelic techno from the jungle – raw, immersive, and full of strength. His sound describes a wide spectrum made from analogue synthesisers and rhythm machines projected towards the dance floor. With twelve years of musical exploration behind him, Mitú’s live sets are unparalleled in Latin American electronic music.
And this time, the night doesn’t end there. From live set to late-night party, this event also features Paula Juana (Soundway Records).
Originally from Colombia, Paula Juana serves up an irresistible blend of Latin Tropical grooves—think Cumbia, Salsa, and Calypso—layered with global sounds from Afrobeat, Highlife, Disco, Boogie, Kwaito and Balearic vibes.
With years of experience in the music industry as Creative Director of Soundway Publishing and managing sync and licensing for Soundway Records, Paula is always drawn to the highly sought-after tunes with a sharp ear for what’s needed on the dance floor. Her DJ sets are a vibrant journey from vintage Salsa to Caribbean rhythms, dancehall, DYI electro, Brazilian and Italo disco, throwing in bits of edits and remixes that bring up the best of old-school reggeaton and rapping styles.
Also joining the night, Moralito will round-up the afterparty with Afro-Latin rhythms.
Moralito is a Colombian record collector and DJ known for his danceable and psychedelic sounds. He is one of the founders of Colombian underground party Clandestina and hosts the show Alma on Portobello Radio.
His sets range from salsa, cumbia, and soukous to funk, disco, and jazz. He’s a regular performer in London, with appearances at venues such as The Jago, Fox & Firkin, Space Talk, Bar Doña, and The Coral Room.
