Love Carnival returns from a wee hiatus teaming up for the first time in London with Scotland’s riotous tropical crew Samedia Shebeen. Bringing a full venue transformation to East London underground spot The Jago, these two blistering crews are set to shake the foundations on the site of what was once the legendary Passing Clouds.
Samedia Shebeen started life in 2010 as an idea for a touring festival tent, transporting late-night party people to an imaginary jungle voodoo den cum lost township shebeen. With a soundscape spanning old and new sounds from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East and beyond, it has since proven a big hit with dancefloor revellers, touring festivals across the UK, around Europe and even building a stage on the banks of the River Nile at Jinja for Nyege Nyege Festival.
As ever, the Love Carnival familia Cal Jader & Selecta Mad Max will be representing the full spectrum of Tropical riddims, Global Bass, Latin heat, Afrobeats, Dancehall & Carnival sounds.
