#FLAWA2020 has prepared a night of non-stopping dance with Ms Nina, a young multidisciplinary artist from Argentina currently based in Spain. She achieved international recognition as a net artist, exhibiting at Junior High (Los Angeles), La Térmica and La Fresh Gallery, one of the most prestigious galleries in Spain. Her musical career has made her one of the key figures to understand the Latin rhythms that sound in Europe.

Bring your Carnival vibes east and keep the sunshine flowing until the small hours as we have a killer line up of afro-latin DJs to spice up your night!

We welcome the Swiss based collective Alma Negra, know for their epic 12 hour sets and remixes and reworks of little-known Haitian and African jams. They have been heaped with praise from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Nightmares on Wax, Ben UFO, Joy Orbison, and many more. With releases on Basic Fingers, Sofrito, and Highlife, this collective explore traditional African percussion and rhythms, layering them with sounds from deep-house and 70s & 80s psychedelic synths creating a truly cosmic-tribal experience.

Celeste Mariposa are a Lisbon-based DJ duo and label heads who explore African “Bailes”, uniting grooves from all the 5 ex-Portuguese Colonies Angola, Cape Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Mozambique and S. Tomé and Príncipe. Most of their records are almost unheard of in western culture, but were naturally found within Lisbon´s deep African connections. As in the western world almost exclusive attention is payed to Anglo-Saxon music, The Afro-Baile is a rare celebration of Groove from its cradle: A voyage through time from the bases of instrumental funaná to the rough Angolan Merengue, besides Semba, Gumbé from Guiné-Bissau and Mozambican Marrabenta. With new releases on the label and a forthcoming Analog Africa collection, catch this duo while they are in the prime!

Cal Jader brings his trademark blend of red hot 'classico' latin beats, uptempo carnival rhythms, tropical bass, and fresh global sounds. The original 'dancehall caballeros' behind Movimientos, expect extra-hot carnival from this champion of the underground London scene.

Supporting and rounding up this killer is DJ Isuru is a regular spinner at SOAS Radio.
