#FLAWA2020 has prepared a night of non-stopping dance with Ms Nina, a young multidisciplinary artist from Argentina currently based in Spain. She achieved international recognition as a net artist, exhibiting at Junior High (Los Angeles), La Térmica and La Fresh Gallery, one of the most prestigious galleries in Spain. Her musical career has made her one of the key figures to understand the Latin rhythms that sound in Europe.
Havana Calling presents Muévete! @ Notting Hill Arts Club
Saturday 20th September
7pm-2am // Free before 9pm // £6 before 10pm // £8 after 10pm
Decks:Cal Jader & special guest DJ Chico Correa (Brazil)
Live: Holly Holden and Su Banda

After a frenzy of festival appearances around the UK this summer including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shambala and Bestival amongst others DJ Cal Jader hosts the monthly fiesta that is Muévete with it's original formula of uptempo Latino-Caribbean-Tropical soundclash vibe where classic rhythms get bastardised and twisted up for the modern dancefloor.

In September he's joined by a very special guest from Brazil DJ and producer Chico Correa - a pioneer of the fusion of Northeastern styles with electronic music. Alongside Maga Bo and DJ Dolores amongst others he represents a new generation of Brazilian Bass music producers, focusing his artistic creativity between the oral traditions of his land and the low end frequencies of the sound systems blending 808 and analog synthesizers, with roots rhythms from Brazil his sets are a mix of his own productions and improvised mashups. Always improvising and reconstructing the set each gig, in a live electronics format.

Plus on the early live set from 7.30pm there's a chance to catch west London's very own local tropical soul songstress Holly Holden and her new band. Holly’s long-term musical links with Cuba and the wider Caribbean have left their mark on her sound. Her bilingual pop combines catchy, soulful melodies and foot-tapping, tropical beats.

PURE TROPICAL PARTY VIBES!! A favourite for Saturday night crowds in West London, Muévete is a monthly fiesta - a pure party version of Movimientos, with a dance floor-slammin' mash up of raw Latin beats and tropical bass. From the rolling Latin rhythms of salsa, cumbia, merengue and Samba to the raw urban flavours of reggaeton, Hip Hop, dancehall, moombahton, baile funk and dutty carnival rhythms, incorporating a healthy dose of African beats and global underground music.

Put simply Muévete translates as 'Move it!' so we're not beating around the bush - straight to the dancefloor!
