¡Cumbia, Mi Amor!

31.03.2023

Movimientos return to the Fox and Firkin with ¡Cumbia, Mi Amor! taking Cumbia as it’s root but moving through all kinds of Tropical dance music from Afro-Latin to Electronic and beyond with a feast of live music and special guest DJs.

To coincide with their new EP release the mystical Malphino will be conjuring their dance-floor slaying Cumbia and outer-national tropical sounds alongside illustrious special guests on the decks from Colombia – Systema Solar co-founder and producer and Bogota rave scene legend Dani Boom alongside one of our favourite DJs – label boss Galletas Calientes who’s wild sets go from Afro-Latin electronic to dembow. And our friend – London Latinx torchbearer Bushbby will be dropping a very special vinyl set inspired by Colombian-Caribbean sound system culture.

DANI BOOM
Inspired by his time in Europe where he was exposed to the rave scene Dani Boom subsequently became one of the architects of the Colombian 90s rave scene and co-founder, producer and DJ of one of Colombia’s most explosive live acts, Systema Solar. Over the years he has produced a string of releases under his own name, fusing traditional Colombian sounds with techno beats and is a regular on the club and festival circuit in Colombia and Latin America

GALLETAS CALIENTES
Founder of Galletas Calientes Records, Mathias moved to Colombia in 2010. There his musical culture and productions were enriched with Latin and tropical rhythms, and since he’s been collaborating with leading labels and artists from the Colombian scene, as well as Ghana, Congo and Zimbabwe! Recently, his inexhaustible thirst for fresh tropical sounds has earned him recognition as a true ambassador of Latin music in Europe, where he tours regularly

BUSHBBY
Bushbby is a London born and based Colombian DJ, artist, producer and event promoter who explores the sounds and roots of Latin American music.

Since 2019, she has quickly established herself as one of London’s Latin music scene’s torchbearers, showcasing an explosive blend of Dancehall, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Champeta and Dembow, inspired by the Colombian-Caribbean and UK sound systems she grew up around.

Dedicated to nurturing the Latinx scene, she founded Candela Viva and Epoka, platforms that celebrate the culture’s roots, music, and people through regular events.
