Conjunto Sabroso + The Indios + Jimena Angel + DJ Cal Jader

16.11.2018
#FLAWA2020 has prepared a night of non-stopping dance with Ms Nina, a young multidisciplinary artist from Argentina currently based in Spain. She achieved international recognition as a net artist, exhibiting at Junior High (Los Angeles), La Térmica and La Fresh Gallery, one of the most prestigious galleries in Spain. Her musical career has made her one of the key figures to understand the Latin rhythms that sound in Europe.
Presenting another night of unstoppable Latin rhythms at the Hoot! One of London’s finest Latin groups, Conjunto Sabroso will be in the building with their hard-hitting brass, grooving percussion and incredible stage presence. We also welcome The Indios, with their Indie-Tropical blend of old and new, who will be sure to get the party started. And special guest from Bogota Colombia Jimena Angel with her sweet Electro-Acoustic Afro-Caribbean influenced vibes. Plus of course, Movimientos’ very own ‘dancehall caballero’ DJ Cal Jader will be keeping things moving before and after with his signature blend of Tropical beats.

London’s All-Star Latin swing from Salsa, Boogaloo to Cumbia & Merengue

One of London’s most established and popular Latin bands, Conjunto Sabroso are renowned for their authentic swing and lively presence on stage, featuring vibrant horns and powerful percussion, keeping audiences glued to the dance floor wherever they play.

Led by outstanding multi-percussionist Wilmer Sifontes from Venezuela, and fronted by charismatic Colombian singer Luz Elena Caicedo, the band has brought together some of the most experienced musicians in the Latin circuit, to produce their own distinctive and original sound.

Indie-Tropical party starters

London based indie tropical band which was born after two friends from Colombia decided to find a way to make even the shyest person dance. Blending traditional Colombian rhythms such as Champeta, Chande and Cumbia with heavy indie guitars and powerful synths, all The Indios want to do is share Latin American music and start the party!

Afro-Caribbean influenced Electro-Acoustic

Latin Grammy nominee Jimena Angel has had an extensive career spanning more than two decades playing in bands in Colombia. Her solo music finds her exploring a new sound, with Colombian rhythms, fused with electronic beats and acoustic instruments from around the world.

Latin & tropical beats

Cal Jader is one of the musical activists, founders and original 'dancehall caballeros' behind Movimientos. With his trademark blend of red hot 'classico' latin beats, uptempo carnival rhythms, tropical bass, and fresh global sounds he is helping to soundtrack London's thriving underground scene with residencies across the capital.
