Aleh Ferreira brings his band and selection of special guests to bring us ‘Aleh’s Carnival All Stars’ with some classic songs from carnival including Marchinhas, Frevo, sounds from Bahia plus songs from the likes of Jorge Ben & Tim Maia alongside his own material.
Olayá join the party to make their Hoots debut with their powerful flute and percussion driven sound inspired by Northeastern Brazilian bandas de pifanos (bamboo flutes). Their music is heavily rhythmic and contagiously fun, a fresh take on a traditional Brazilian sound.
And after last year’s killer set Farofa returns to close out the party with a set of carnival bangers and Brazilian bass whilst London’s own Oopsy Daisy drops her own carnival inspired set.
