Join us for an intimate Carnival Calor afterparty in Soho, featuring special guest Gramboy — a DJ and record collector from Brazil — bringing a rich variety of Brazilian music and beyond. He’ll be joined by Colombian DJ and vinyl selector Moralito, as well as Movimientos’ own Cal Jader, spinning Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, and Carnival-inspired Afro-Caribbean dance rhythms.

GRAMBOY
Founder of the club night BANG!, Gramboy is a visual artist and DJ deeply rooted in Brazil’s popular sound system culture. Influenced by his father — a sound system operator and speaker builder — Gramboy developed a keen eye for the dance floor, bringing an original selections out of his 45s vinyl cases.

His sets feature a wide variety of Brazilian grooves, funk, and disco, always spinning obscure and alternative cuts of classics as well as Jamaican, Latin and African music.

As well as regular DJ sets in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Gramboy has shared the stage with legendary artists like B.Negão, Marcelinho da Lua, and Gabriel O Pensador, among others.

 

MORALITO

Moralito is a record collector and DJ from Colombia, known for spinning groovy and psychedelic sounds from across the globe. With a strong focus on Latin music, his sets range from salsa, cumbia and champeta to funk, disco and jazz.

 

 

DJ CAL JADER

Cal Jader blends a distinctive mix of Latin, Tropical and global sounds from delicious Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue to exquisite Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian grooves and dancehall. Over his two vinyl sets for My Analog Journal, he has almost half a million plays and currently holds down a monthly show on Soho Radio.
