Taking over the Mezcaleria Colmillo in the El Pastor basement for one night only ‘Back to Los Noventas’ makes an auspicious debut. Prepare yourselves for the ultimate journey back to the 90’s with a selection of some classic and lesser known tropical treats to emerge from the Latin music world. A decade that saw legends like Celia Cruz and Juan Luis Guerra release some of their best tunes, Salsa music had some of it’s biggest hits, Selena captured the hearts of North and South America, El General & Vico C laid the way for the Reggaeton boom whilst Elvis Crespo made Merengue a worldwide phenomenon. The 90’s was the era when Latin music truly imprinted itself on the global imagination and this night will celebrate it in all its glory.
DJs on the night include the reuniting of two important figures from the Latin American cultural scene Arias (one of the original dance floor caballeros behind Movimientos) & Pablo N (founder of the influential media platform Alborada) as well as Movimientos regulars Amancai & Cal Jader for a veritable feast of 90’s tropical jams and transnational anthems.
