Drawing on Latin American folklore, pop and indie folk, Benjamin Walker has become (an incredibly prominent force/ a shining new voice) to (come out of/from) Chile. Guitarist, author and composer, Walker began his career at the age of 21 with the release of his first album ‘Felicidad’. His follow up album ‘Brotes’ in 2017 shot him to fame and subsequently brought him a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
Later settling in Mexico City, he released his third LP ‘Libro Abierto’ that featured collaborations with Vanessa Zamora, Silvana Estrada as well as with the Argentinian duo Perotá Chingo.
Throughout his career Walker has performed at the most (important/prominent) venues across Chile and has become a popular face across festivals such as Lollapalooza Chile, Cosquín Rock in Argentina all while performing across Latin America and abroad. In addition to representing his country in the 2019 Festival de la Canción de Viña del Mar (where he won second place), he’s also opened shows for artists such as Pedro Aznar, Jack Johnson, Inti-Illimani, Silvana Estrada and Carlos Rivera.
Come see him perform an intimate solo show as part of his upcoming European tour.
