Movimientos present a night of Brazilian beats celebrating the almighty carnivals of Brazil, from the blocos of Rio to the contemporary bass heavy sounds. Aleh Ferreira (Banda Black Rio) brings his big band featuring a brass section and percussion to add some classic Marchinhas de Carnaval alongside his legendary Samba Funk sound and Paraiso Samba make their debut at Hootananny with their drums and dancers spectacle. Keeping things moving before and after Brazilian guest DJs Junior Otamon and Otinga will be on hand alongside Movimientos’ Cal Jader with an eclectic mix of beats from MPB to carnival classics and connecting the dots between London and Rio de Janeiro and Salvador with some Baile Funk / Trap & Brazilian Bass later into the night.

Brazilian singer-songwriter Aleh Ferreira, best known as the frontman of legendary Brazilian funk band Banda Black Rio, will be bringing his Band to Hootannany . His warm, distinctive voice, samba-funk fusion grooves and lyrics that celebrate Afro-Brazilian heritage have earned him a career spanning three decades across the globe.
