New Sounds of Colombia

We’re bringing together two of the freshest acts of Colombian new music scene for a unique evening full of Caribbean rhythms mixed up with contemporary electronic, funk and rock sounds.

Las Cafeteras

Movimientos are proud to present the LA based Las Cafeteras for their debut London show as part of their European tour. The band combines the vibrant energy of Son Jarocho music with an edgy LA-alternative sound & political message.

Movimientos are super excited to present the debut UK show for Argentina’s self styled Tropi-Punk legends Kumbia Queers. At a time when the electronic and world music scenes from the US and Europe are in the process of discovering Cumbia music, these chicas are reinterpreting Latin American heart-ache and macho posturings, bringing fun and politics together in their own wild style. The night promises a mixture of Latin American Cumbia and Afro-Cuban influences, queerness and a real punk spirit.

Chico Trujillo

Movimientos welcomes back Chico Trujillo - one of the most important bands in Chile - for a big Saturday night cumbia party as part of the band’s European Summer tour. They are the soundtrack to all Chilean parties, from Arica to Punta Arenas. Their blend of brass fuelled classic Cumbia, Bolero, Latin American music, Punk-rock, Balkan and Reggae, has assured them an audience across all generations and lifestyles..
